Helen Hurd has a practitioner level diploma in Sound Therapy, as well as a BA (Hons) and Masters degree in Drama and Theatre Arts. During the last 20 years, she has performed all over the world, initially as an actor and then as a highly sought-after rock vocalist. When all her performance work was on hold, during the 2020 pandemic, she decided to marry her love of music and sound, with her mindfulness practices, and enrolled to study as a practitioner sound therapist - something she has always had an immense passion about. That passion was increased when she started working one-to-one with clients. She saw the overwhelming power sound had on many physical and mental constructs. From small aches and frustrations, to depression, anxiety and chronic pain, sound therapy has proven itself to be an extremely powerful way to find relief and break unhelpful thoughts and habits.

Twenty years ago, Helen made a successful recovery from crippling panic attacks, depression, anxiety and agoraphobia and so, from experience, she knows the power that the mind can have over the body, in both a positive and negative way. She passionately believes that it is now more important than ever to acknowledge the speed of life that we live in, the stresses and tensions that can come with it, and it is imperative that we find ways to restore our connection with the resonances of nature.
